March FSWG meeting

We had a small but spirited group this past Tuesday night as we came together to fill in our calendar of events for the next month (find it on the website here, under the calendar section) and learned about the Fiction Writer's Workshop spearheaded by Amanda Wheeler. The workshop is held every other Saturday, with the next being on March 23. The writers meet in a roundtable setting to discuss their work. Works include everything from novels, poems and short stories to Dungeons and Dragons campaigns and even school papers. The work does not have to be fiction to be discussed, and attendance is in no way mandatory. We then, in the spirit of Amanda's presence, shared excerpts from works old and new, from poetry and prose to Dungeons and Dragons character backgrounds. Fort Smith Writer's Guild meetings are the second Tuesday of each month in The Cooler Room at the Bakery District (70 S 7th Street) in Fort Smith.
